Built From Experience. Designed for the Floor.

Through those years, one reality stood out: critical knowledge is often lost or scattered when it’s needed most.

LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDER

When I started Equipment Locker, it wasn’t from a boardroom idea; it came from the factory floor.

I've spent over 25 years in industrial maintenance and engineering. I've experienced the painful reality of unplanned downtime: 20-hour shifts, 3 am calls, long, uncomfortable conversations with plant and corporate management, and RCA investigations following costly unplanned outages.

Over and over, I saw the same story play out, critical knowledge getting lost or scattered when it’s needed most. That's when it hit me:

"We don’t just lose time. We lose experience. And once it’s gone, it doesn’t come back."

I built Equipment Locker because I wanted to change that. To make the collective experience of our industry available instantly to anyone who needs it, right in front of the equipment, where decisions are made.

If we can save just one technician an hour of searching, prevent one safety risk, or help one plant run smoother, that’s worth it. Because we’re not just building software, we’re building a bridge between generations of knowledge.

With love,

John Nelson

Preserving experience. Delivering clarity - The Wadsworth's approach

Wadsworth is based on a coworker of John’s with over 35 years of experience in industrial equipment manufacturing and service. He is a toolmaker by trade, but his insights were invaluable in all aspects of equipment functionality.

If you needed his help you could count on him to listen closely, examine and verify the problem. He would then lean back while he curled his freshly waxed mustache pulling from thousands of reams of dusty information stored in his mind.

Our world is continuing to lose technicians like this at an alarming rate. Our goal at Equipment Locker is to preserve this experience to present relevant information instantly and while in front of the equipment.
